After participating in the sewing project for a few months, the ladies wanted to write letters to express their thankfulness for the business and to those of you who have supported them by purchasing their products. The ladies have been incredibly grateful for this opportunity to work out of their homes and to be able to stay at home with their kids and provide for their families' needs at the same time.. Hear it from their hearts by reading their letters below:
Yuyun:

"The first time I found out about this project, I was with my sister, Titiek who introduced me to Kalyn and Krista. This is the first time that I had ever met a westerner and they invited me to join their project to work with them. I was very happy about this. Before I joined this project, I was struggling financially and did not have enough money to cover my everyday expenses. Praise God that I was able to be a part of this project and earn extra money. This project has really helped us! I was able to pay for my son to go to school and fill in the gaps where we were still not making ends meet. This has also lightened the burden on my husband and allowed me to help our family. Hopefully this project will continue without any troubles and that our handicrafts will be in demand. This will help me to continue to help my family while I am at home with my son. I am very thankful to Kalyn and Krista for starting this project for us and for giving us the opportunity to work. Hopefully this project will continue and be successful." - Yuyun
Titiek:

"When this all started, my husband was building houses and then a friend of his asked him if he was interested in working in the city. While my husband was working, he was introduced to Cliff and Krista who asked him if he would be interested in working in their organic green houses with an organic vegetable project. After getting to know Cliff and Krista, I was introduced to Tony and Kalyn. They are all very good people and have been very nice to my family especially since we are struggling to provide for our family. Because of our family situation, Kalyn and Krista asked me if I was interested in joining their sewing project. I was very happy to join this project because this project helps provide for my family. In Indonesia you have to pay for your children to go to school every year. With this supplement, we have been able to buy my daughter the supplies she needs for school and pay for her tuition. I am so very thankful for this project and I hope that it continues so I can help my family more than I have before." -Titiek
Ilmi:

"I am very happy with the outcome of this project. I can become more independent and help my husband with the burden of our family. With the money I have received from making these scarves I have been able to make ends meet day to day and pay for the supplies and fees for our son's schooling. Our hope is that this project will continue smoothly so we can continue to support our families. I am very thankful to Kalyn and Krista for starting this project and sincerely wanting to help my family. Hopefully God will bless our efforts." -Ilmi
Novi:

"First, I praise God because this sewing project has immensely helped me as a house wife and mother. And I want to thank Kalyn and Tony because they were the ones that had the idea for this sewing project. Hopefully this project will continue. Maybe God gave us this project to help us all. Again, thank you God. Hopefully God will always be in our hearts." - Novi
Eka:

"Hello my dear friend, my name is Eka. My age is 29 year's old, I am a house wife and I have 3 child boys." Eka starts in English
"Thanks be to God for giving us this project. I also thank Krista and Kalyn who have helped start this sewing project. I am very thankful because this project has really helped me. I have gained experience in sewing and I can work now. I can also make money without having to leave my home. This is important because I can always be with my 3 boys at home. With the money I have earned I have been able to buy food, school books for my boys and other needs. Another thing I have used the money for is starting another project where I make small lamps and other household items that I make with my friend. Thank you very much to all those who have ordered and purchased the scarves that we made. God bless you. Thank you." -Eka
Update on Eka: She has used money from the scarves she has made to buy a used washing machine and a used refrigerator, neither of which she has ever had before. Imagine, a house of 3 small boys, 2 not potty trained, yet not wearing diapers, and the amount of laundry she has been hand washing up until now! She is also using the washing machine to wash others clothes and make some more income that way.

Nirma:

"I am so glad I joined this sewing project. This project has greatly helped me better provide for my family. Even though we get by on less than what we need, we fight to give the best we can to our children. Recently I needed to pay for my daughter's piano lessons, and I am very very appreciative for the money from this project which has helped me pay for those debts with the piano lessons. That was a story about finances. But there is another story that I love about this project. I feel like I can be refreshed and not have to think of all of my daily chores, my routine, my children, my husband and so on. I can meet with these ladies where they encourage me and I grow in my faith." -Nirma
Ju:

"I am a house wife that has three children that are still in school. My husband works building houses. To meet the needs of my children's schooling and fees every day, this is not enough. I am only a house wife who does not have another job. But, thankfully, with this project, I can help my husband increase our economic situation for our family. Thank you. Pray that God blesses this project. Amen." -Ju
